The beauty of furniture is that you CAN take it with you.
It has always struck me how, now that we live in a world full of time-saving inventions, we do not choose to spend that extra time making things more sturdy and beautiful. As a culture we have chosen quantity of stuff over quality of stuff. This choice has brought disastrous consequences not only for the environment, but also for our sense of personal satisfaction.
Beautiful custom furniture can not only be taken with you when you move, but it can also be taken -handed down- through the generations. The pieces of furniture that my wife and I have from our respective families provide a feeling of history, of belonging, and of true appreciation for the love and craftsmanship that went into creating them.
I build furniture with these concerns in mind. I want my clients to have the gratification of seeing their own ideas manifested, and of knowing that they are investing in furniture that their- or someone else's- grandchildren will cherish.
